Once again the family looks forward to our annual mid-year visit to Bahia Blanca. Well done with the newsletter: it reminds us what we are missing when we aren't there!  The refurbished apartments looked fantastic when we were there and in the newsletter.  Pity the sleeping arrangements don't work for us (yet).  Also, it will be interesting to see the new road crossing when/if it is done.

This is my 7th time in the Canary Islands and my 3th time in Puerto Rico. I usually stay at Anfi Del Mar, BUT I had a great deal more FUN at Bahia Blanca. The staff is EXCELENT and the entertainment is EXTRAORDINARY good and without that entertainment then my stay in that hotel would be A LOT worse.

Having just returned from our week at Bahia Blanca, I thought I should put into print what our reaction was to arriving at our newly refurbished apartment. Wow !!  The overall result is really so much better than we had expected. The design and quality of the work is first class. Congratulations to all who have been involved.

We have just returned from our a wonderful week at Bahia Blanca and I would just like to thank you for all your work in sorting out our apartment for the week.
While we were there we went to see the upgraded one bedroom apartments and were well impressed. To this end we have upgraded to one of the refurnished apartments for our next holiday at Bahia Blanca.

My Husband and I checked the Bahia Blanca website, liked what they had to offer and decided to spend 1 week at Bahia Blanca. Our taxi took 30mins from the airport, on arrival we where checked into our apartment (no communication problems) and given a welcome groceries bag - tea bags, bread, milk, jam etc. Nice touch, we took the lift (seats inside) up to the level our apartment on the (3rd level).

We entered our apartment and all our fears where dispelled. It was full of mod cons, sat TV etc. clean and tidy, very spacious(sleeps 4). We opened the patio doors which lead us onto our very own private sun terrace, it was massive, sun loungers supplied & patio furniture. The view of the Atlantic ocean was spectacular, looking around we discovered that every apartment had its own private sun terrace with stunning sea views. The complex provides a daily maid service, on site facilities catered for every ones needs. Child care, kids pool, exercise/gym equipment, grocery store, laundry, live entertainment, restaurant, snack bar, swimming pool, telephone in rooms, tennis, whirlpool hot tub, sauna.

There are 2 beaches that have loads of water sports to offer. (Puerto Rico/Amadores) both 8 minutes walk from the resort, we preferred Amadores (man made) it had plenty of places to eat, shop and large clean changing rooms, first aid bays & those nifty little taps for washing all the sand off your feet after strolling & paddling. Puerto Rico beach was lovely but we felt it was a little bit busy for us. There was a free shuttle bus service provided from the apartments to the Europa shopping centre, if you didn’t fancy the 8 minute walk along the promenade. The centre of Puerto Rico has tons of shops restaurants, bars, clubs, mini golf, aqua park, the list is endless.

We have been to other islands in the Canaries & found Amadores hassle free from reps trying to drag you into bars, restaurants etc. our evenings at the Bahia Blanca where either spent enjoying a glass or 2 of wine watching the sun set from our sun terrace, enjoying the vast selection of cuisine in the restaurant down stairs, after that we took part in the live entertainment, music more drinks & once into town for a night on the tiles. Our afternoons were either spent by the swimming pool, walks around this amazing unspoilt area of the island, at the beach & shopping. My husband insisted we went on a camel ride I was a little reluctant but thoroughly enjoyed it once we got there. We took the free bus from the apartments into the centre & got a bus to Maspalomas. 20 minutes later we arrived. One or two time share touts, we were polite & kept walking & they just ignored us (not like other islands in the Canaries) 10 minutes later we where at the camel ranch, 10 euros for 30 minutes to be honest that was enough. The sand dunes of were a wonderful experience (think he felt like Lawrence of Arabia).

There are only 2 Talasoterapia centres in the Canaries & guess what one of them is only 5 minutes walk from Bahia Blanca, we both enjoyed one of their relaxation therapy programmes. A “get in shape” large aquatic relaxation area, sauna / Turkish bath / thermal bath, bubbling algae bath, seaweed therapy (wrap) 30 minutes massage truly relaxing & well worth every euro. We discovered the hotel has a tour of the Talasoterapia centre everyday at midday, Bahia Blanca holiday club is enjoyable for couples and families alike we loved it so much we became members and cant wait to go back.
